Heather Savage

Owner, Director & Coach

Heather discovered her passion for CrossFit and nutrition while making positive changes to her own life while working in a demanding corporate job.

Heather will take an holistic approach to your health and fitness journey, combining good eating habits, exercise and recovery, all while having a lot of fun on the way.
If you are wanting to take those first steps to improving your health and fitness, then Heather is there to guide and support you every step of the way.

Heather loves coffee and a sweaty workout so you’ll find her buzzing around the gym most times of the day.

Simon Savage

Simon Savage

Owner & Coach

Simon a newly minted coach and token bald guy, Simon fits into the team to support our coaches and members wherever he can. He has a lifetime of experience as a competitive athlete and coach across a range of sports including triathlon, cycling, sailing and kitesurfing. He is also a regular competitor on the Masters circuit.

If you are a Masters athlete, Simon will help you develop training methods that take into account the very different requirements of ageing bodies to keep you in good shape and driving peak performance.

Simon loves a good dad joke and enjoys banter during a WOD almost as much as a sprint workout combining a barbell and gymnastics. His irreverent sense of humour will keep your workouts fun even when they hurt.

Jason Shiff

Coach & Programming Team

I love coaching with the CF Richmond team and helping everyone achieve their goals. I studied Exercise and Sports Science at Deakin and through my sporting experience I played basketball, and competed in Rowing and Olympic weightlifting as a youth. Coaching CrossFit gives me joy as I get to be a part of such a positive part of peoples day and for some their favourite hour of the day. Working with the everyday athlete is what I love whether you're trying to snatch your first 100kg or do your first full depth overhead squat I just want to see you out there getting after it. Outside of training I enjoy every other part of life, I love my cars, enjoy a pint at the pub and am always up for an adventure.

Ali Valadez

Coach

Ali is very passionate about fitness and mental health, and she’ll never say no to some good-nature fun. She has been an active person her entire life - from swimming and tennis, to running and yoga. She found CrossFit in 2013 and then very quickly started training competitively. After a few years of competing, she decided to take a break and focus on other aspects of fitness, including running a marathon and becoming a yoga teacher.

Finally returning to CrossFit at the end of 2020 she took the opportunity of becoming a trainer less than a year later. Being involved in CrossFit for so long, both for recreational and competitive purposes, she understands the importance of having a coach that encourages, supports and allows for people to reach their goals, no matter what they are. Ali’s classes are always fun and challenging – she loves a good laugh but will always make sure that you are doing the work.

Chloë Webb

Coach

Chloë is a passionate coach, keen athlete and lifelong learner who holds a number of certifications in the industry; from CrossFit L2 and CF Gymnastics to British Weightlifting L2, her interest in health and fitness knows no bounds!
After discovering CrossFit and Oly lifting in 2019, Chloë went all-in and dove head first into becoming a stronger athlete, competing in several individual and team competitions in the UK but moreover a better coach, starting her own online coaching business “Chloe Webb Coaching” and becoming Head Coach of CrossFit Edinburgh.
Her motto is “Practice. Perseverance. Passion. Performance.” With a coaching style focused on bridging the gap between achieving high level performance while staying healthy & happy in the process. She aims to give you the best hour of your day.
Outside of coaching/training, Chloë enjoys travel, good food and coffee (perfect for Melbourne), reading and being outdoors.

Blake Fowler

Blake Fowler

Coach

Blake joins Crossfit Richmond as a coach of pure energy and enthusiasm. Growing up Blake was heavily committed to his Football career, having the opportunity to play with the Bolton Wanderers Academy in England before being struck with some serious health conditions. Blake used Gym as a coping mechanism and positive outlet to smash goals and continue progressing. After many years of training, Blake found his love for Crossfit, bringing him back to his roots of sport. Blake has an eye for technique and excels in Gymnastics foundations, I mean who doesn’t want to be able to swing on the bars and muscle up like a pro? No matter your goal, Blake will always be eager to help you get there!
